An article about this on Sky News website about this today (http://news.sky.com/story/1010165/man-held-after-photo-of-burning-poppy-posted) says:
“The arrest was met with disbelief on Twitter, where people mounted a fierce discussion over civil liberties.”
OK. I agree with people’s rights etc… BUT there is a line.
If burning a Koran can be classed as a hate crime, then so is this.
When he posted the pic he captioned it “How about that you squadey cunts” (his spelling).
If he should be allowed his “civil liberties” to burn poppies and say “you squadey cunts” then surely I can burn a Koran (hypothetically speaking) and say “you muzzie cunts”?
A man from Aylesham has tonight been arrested on suspicion of malicious telecommunications.
This follows a posting on a social network site of a burning poppy.
He is currently in police custody awaiting interview.
AND… if that wasn’t harsh enough for the “poor” lad, while posting his pic of him burning a poppy, he neglected to check the security settings of his other pics.
We have your mugshot mate. And then some…
People don’t like the disrespect of our Troops.
Maybe you should do a few tours in Afghan.
