Isn’t it about time our government showed the same level of tolerance as the French? The French don’t want people walking round with their faces covered, as for one thing, it’s a security risk. It’s not rocket science. We aren’t allowed to walk about in motorcycle helmets or balaclavas because it is a security risk and also it is not very sociable, is it?
It is the same as trying to have a conversation with someone wearing dark glasses, or mirrored sunglasses. It isn’t possible. In our society, when we interact with others, we like to be able to see their whole face. This is how it is in the West.
It appears to me that more and more of these women are wearing these bin bags as an act of defiance to the countries they are in and the laws these countries make. If you want to live in France, you can’t wear your bin bag. That’s their law. Simple as.
It isn’t a religious requirement to wear it. It’s a personal choice.
Women I have seen in this country who wear the complete ensemble do not interact with others who don’t wear it, they stay in little groups on their own. When I have tried in the past to communicate with them, even just a cheery “Hello!” and a smile, what did I get in return? Absolutely nothing at all. Barely even a recognition that I was even there. This proves to me that these people do not want to mix and integrate into society. They prefer to be among others who are the same as them. Nothing wrong with that, if you live in a place where this is normal. It isn’t normal here.
We are sociable souls, us Westerners, and we like it that way.
If you want to wear a bin bag, maybe you shouldn’t move to France eh?
No Surrender to Bin Bags and Anti-sociability! J xx
